Colts owner Jim Irsay sent Purdue football fan Tyler Trent, who is battling cancer, to the Music City Bowl in Nashville. Trent was the inspiration for Purdue's upset victory over Ohio State in October.
Trent will serve as the Boilermakers’ honorary captain on Friday when Purdue takes on Auburn in the Music City Bowl.
Trent, who is receiving hospice care, will be an inspiration to Purdue as they try to finish off their season with a win. This is an awesome move by Irsay as well.
Hopefully the Boilermakers bring a little extra to the field with them on Friday.
