Giants closer Hunter Strickland will be out for 6-8 weeks after taking out his frustrations on a door.  The injury occurred on Monday night after he blew a save and took a loss against the Marlins.

Strickland gave up three runs in the 9th inning to blow a 4-2 lead.  He now has a broken hand that requires surgery.

Strickland has had a solid season with 13 saves and a 2.84 ERA (that includes Monday night’s blown save).  Now he’ll learn the hard way to punch with the glove hand.
