Michael Bennett’s attorney, Rusty Hardin, spoke with the media on Friday to discuss the case against the NFL star.

The Eagles defensive end is facing felony charges of injury to the elderly, from an alleged incident involving a paraplegic security staffer at the Super Bowl in Houston a couple of years ago.

Bennett’s attorney not only denies the incident ever took place, he calls the case against him “ludicrous.”

Via NJ.com:

“There was no fighting, there was no pushing,” Hardin said. “The entire thing is ludicrous. That’s what I think we’ll find when it’s all over.”

The felony charge of injury to the elderly is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. A court hearing is scheduled for April 23, but Hardin said “don’t be surprised if I try to get that moved just because we’re trying to gather information.”

You know Bennett was facing some serious charges when he hired Hardin.  He’s the go to guy for athletes and celebrities in Houston.
