Steiner Sports is auctioning off a signed Lou Gehrig paycheck from the Yankees.  The check is for a two week stretch in June of 1930 in the amount of $2292.47.

Bidding on the collector's item is close to $25,000.

In many parts of the country in 2018, that's a pretty decent paycheck.  Gehrig must have lived like a king in 1930.

The best part might be on the pay stub where the Yankees deducted two meals Gehrig had while on the road.  You don't make money and become the most successful franchise in sports by giving away meals to Lou Gehrig.
