Major League Baseball announced on Thursday evening that they had suspended Marlins starting pitcher Jose Urena for six games after he intentionally hit Ronald Acuna Jr. with a pitch.  There are plenty of people unhappy with the suspension, feeling it was not long enough.

Those people aren’t wrong, a six game suspension for a starting pitcher is the equivalent of a one game suspension for every other player.  Urena will miss just one start.

The next time the Braves face Urena won’t be pretty.  I wouldn’t expect he will step into the batter’s box and leave it without taking a pitch to the ribs himself.
