Yankees general manager Brian Cashman was asked about the possibility of adding Bryce Harper to their young powerful lineup.  He indicated that they didn’t have a spot for him.

Cashman listed all of the outfielders the Yankees already have on their roster and added that it wasn’t realistic for Harper to play first base.

As much as some Yankees fans might have wanted to have Harper in pinstripes, this is a smart move on New York’s part.

Whoever ends up with the former Nationals outfielder will overpay for him and be left with a difficult contract to get rid of when his skills diminish.

Not to mention the fact that the Bronx would eat Harper alive for not hustling, which he tends to do.
