Peyton Manning got the honor of driving the pace car at the Daytona 500 on Sunday afternoon, kicking off the NASCAR season.

It’s clear the former NFL star took the honor seriously, too, as he wasn’t messing around while behind the wheel. Check out the posture. 

As you can see in the video below, he had his hands firmly planted at 10 and 2 while starting off the race. It’s all about the details with Peyton. 

You can hear the announcers joke that the Sheriff should stay out and run a few laps, but he wisely decides against it, as it appears it’s tougher than it looks to keep the pace car steady.
