Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin told the media on Thursday that receiver Antonio Brown was sent to Pittsburgh to be evaluated.  He downplayed the severity of the injury calling it, “nothing of significance.”

Although Tomlin wasn’t willing to disclose the nature of Brown’s injury, Pro Football Talk says it’s a strained quadriceps muscle.

A league source tells PFT that Brown strained a quadriceps muscle and is getting it checked out, but is expected to return to practice within a few days.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin confirmed today that Brown was being evaluated for an injury, but declined to specify the nature of the injury.

The Madden curse might be trying to take out AB, who hasn’t missed a game due to injury in the last five years.  Let’s hope he’s able to avoid a significant injury.  Football is much more fun with the best receiver in the league on the field.
