NFL Announces They Won't be Changing the Roughing the Passer Rules - Sports Gossip
The worst

The NFL Competition Committee held a meeting early this week to discuss roughing the passer penalties that have dominated the first three weeks of the season.  The meetings were to determine if they should change the emphasis of the rule.

Despite the insane amount of roughing the passer calls that are ruining football, the NFL's VP of Football Operations Troy Vincent made an announcement on Thursday that no changes would be made.

The NFL won't be making football great again anytime soon.  This was an absolute no-brainer, the emphasis of the rule had to be changed.  But as is the case with many things the NFL does, we didn't expect anything less.

There are probably some folks who are disappointed and the only advice I have for them is to buckle up for a ton of lousy roughing the passer calls on some of the weakest hits you'll ever see.
