Philly paid the man

The Philadelphia Eagles didn't wait for Nick Foles to become a free agent after the season to pay him.  They reached a new deal with their backup quarterback that could pay out $14 million if he reaches incentives.

The contract raises his 2018 salary pays out a roster and signing bonus and includes a 2019 mutual option.  That's a pretty decent deal for a guy who if everything goes as planned won't see the field this season.

Not many teams would have given Foles this contract, which is essentially a thank you to him for winning them a Super Bowl.  Talk about the right place at the right time.
