Nonstop action in Calgary

Thursday night was an entertaining one in Calgary.  There were 11 goals scored during the Avalanche and Flames game.  The home team's fans left happy with a 6-5 victory.

The fans also left thoroughly entertained after Avalanche defenseman Ian Cole got beat up by Flames left winger Sam Bennett.  

The fight took place after Cole sent Flames center Mark Jankowski to the locker room with a huge open ice hit.

You can't blast a guy in the open ice and not be ready to throw hands.  That's exactly what happened to Ian Cole.  He threw the big hit but not many punches.  Good thing he has a solid chin.
