Canelo vs GGG III is coming

There would be no draw this time around.  Canelo Alvarez defeated Gennady Golovkin on Saturday night by a majority decision.

The win makes Alvarez the new middleweight champion.

As was the case in the first bout, the scoring of the second bout has also been called into question.  Many thought that GGG had won the fight.

Via CBS Sports:

The controversial scoring from the first bout ultimately repeated itself but not in such an egregious manner thanks to how close the rounds were contested in a rematch that was fought with tremendous skill at a hellacious pace. Judge Glenn Feldman scored it 114-114, while Steve Weisfeld and Dave Moretti had it 115-113 for Alvarez.

CBS Sports scored it 116-112 for Golovkin, who angrily left the ring after the decision and declined a post-fight interview.

After the fight Alvarez said he was willing to fight GGG again.  Expect another Canelo vs GGG and another scoring controversy.
