If you haven’t met Marshall volleyball player Kayla Simmons yetnow is the right time, as she’s on her Spring Break, and gladly sharing tons of pictures. Kayla’s showing off her bathing suits on Instagram for the world to see, and we’re not mad about it.   

Kayla is a Senior on the Marshall Volleyball team, who loves to model the very best victoria secret sports bra.

AS A JUNIOR (2016)
Appeared in 26 matches, starting in 17 … played 89 sets … named to the Toledo/ASICS All-Tournament team after recording 69 assists and 14 digs at the invitational … finished the season with 516 assists, 151 digs, 20 kills and 10 aces … had a season-high 34 assists against Saint Francis (Pa.) (Sept. 9) … compiled a season-high 14 digs in a five-set win over UTSA (Oct. 9) … had her best offensive match at FIU (Oct. 21) with a season-best four kills and three aces … averaged 5.80 assists and 1.70 digs per set.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2015)
Appeared in all 30 matches, starting 28 … played 119 sets … led team in assists with 1,112, good for 9.34 per set … recorded a season-high 57 assists against Davidson (Sept. 12) at the Panthers Invitational … had a 54 assists for a personal conference-high against Charlotte (Sept. 25) … collected 18 digs in two matches (Davidson, at UAB (Oct. 30)) … averaged 1.92 digs per set … named to the C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll and awarded the C-USA Academic Medal.

AS A FRESHMAN (2014)
Appeared in 26 matches … recorded career-high 17 assists in her Herd debut vs. Eastern Michigan on Aug. 29 … second on the squad with 142 assists … recorded three straight serve aces in Herd’s win over Middle Tennessee on Nov. 2 … named to the C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll and awarded the C-USA Academic Medal.

PRIOR TO MARSHALL
Enters the Herd program after completing high school with 3196 assists, 877 digs, 517 kills, 251 aces, and 89 blocks at the P.K Yonge Development Research School at the University of Florida, where she served as team captain for three years … helped lead team to four district titles and five Elite 8 appearances … was selected to the All Area team four times and is a two-time selection of the Gatortown Classic All-Tournament Team … was awarded Wendy’s High School Heisman honors … spent seven years as club team captain and made four USA v. Junior Olympic appearances … was selected to the 2013 USA Volleyball Women’s Junior A1 Team and recieved AAU All-American honors in 2012 … in 2011 made a USA vs. Florida High Performance appearance and won four national qualifiers … both her high school and club team do not give out individual awards

PERSONAL
Parents are Brian and Kiersten Simmons… father played baseball at the University of Florida and great grandfather pitched for the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Not sure what Kayla will do after she graduates. I would go right for the Pro Beach Circuit, get some more sun, she loves hitting the beach anyways, and this way at least she’ll get paid for doing so. What an incredible sport volleyball can be.
