Philadelphia 76ers forward Kelly Oubre Jr. is expected to return to the lineup next week, head coach Nick Nurse told reporters Thursday, according to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The 76ers square off against the Washington Wizards on Wednesday and the Atlanta Hawks next Friday.

Oubre was a full participant in practice for the first time since sustaining a fractured rib earlier in November. The 27-year-old told police he was struck by a car, and he also suffered injuries to his hip and right leg. He was subsequently taken to the hospital and released by the end of the evening.

Philadelphia inked Oubre to a one-year, $2.9-million deal this past summer. The former first-round pick was off to a strong start in his first campaign with the 76ers, averaging 16.3 points on 50% shooting, including a 37.8% mark from downtown.

Nurse’s squad is a bit banged up heading into Friday’s showdown with the Boston Celtics.

Reigning MVP Joel Embiid is listed as questionable after missing the club’s previous contest with an illness, adds Pompey. Meanwhile, veteran wing Nicolas Batum is probable after reinjuring his right index finger during Wednesday’s tilt versus the New Orleans Pelicans.
