The AAF never finished their inaugural season, closing up shop in the middle of their first season. Without finishing the season, the 7-1 Steve Spurrier led Orlando Apollos declared themselves league champions.
The Apollos did finish with the best record and now Spurrier has a ring to prove they were the champions. Former Apollos employees presented the head coach with a championship ring last week.
