Rookie quarterback Jarrett Stidham will be the Patriots backup quarterback this season. The team cut Tom Brady’s longtime backup Brian Hoyer on Saturday.
Stidham had a strong preseason and obviously showed the Patriots that they didn’t need to carry a third quarterback. The fourth-round draft pick could one day take over for Tom Brady.
