In the first period of Tuesday night’s Blues and Ducks game in Anaheim, St. Louis’ Jay Bouwmeester collapsed on the bench. It was later revealed that Bouwmeester collapsed as a result of a “cardiac episode.”
After Bouwmeester was rushed to the locker room the game was postponed. He was alert as he was then transported to a local hospital.
