Milwaukee Bucks guard Tyler Herro said he wants to “move on” from last week’s physical altercation with former Miami Heat teammate Bam Adebayo and is looking ahead to the next chapter of his career.
“Honestly, I’m just trying to move past all of it,” Herro told ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne. “I’m focused on Milwaukee and building something special. They obviously just traded the greatest player in their history, so we want to come in and help continue what they’ve been doing.”
Adebayo reportedly struck Herro at a practice court Friday in Las Vegas after the latter made critical comments about him on social media.
Herro and Adebayo were teammates from 2019-26, but their relationship apparently became turbulent during their seventh and final season together in Miami.
The Heat traded Herro, a Milwaukee native, to the Bucks in June as part of a package for Giannis Antetokounmpo. The guard played a career-low 33 games last season due to injuries. He was still productive, shooting 48% and averaging 20.5 points per game.
