During an NFL draft party at Make-A-Wish New Jersey, where the Giants announced their fourth-, fifth- and sixth-round picks, 14-year-old Jared was called up to the stage and asked to state his wish.

He said he wanted to meet Saquon Barkley, the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year came up from behind the stage and wrapped his arm around the teenager.

Once introductions were made, Barkley, who has worked with this organization before, told Jared he had an entire day planned for the two of them.

“I don’t want you to just be able to meet me,” Barkley said. “I’ve already got something planned out on your whole day. Whatever you want to do, go to Six Flags, whatever you dream of, me and you, just go have fun.”

Per MonroeNow:

As part of Jared’s wish, he will “spend an exciting weekend with the team at a practice and home game – a VIP treatment the Giants have continued to provide to wish children like Jared for years,” the chapter said.

“Our special relationship with the New York Football Giants has always been one we hold in the highest regard,” said Tom Weatherall, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish New Jersey. “Simply put, they have long set the bar for excellence when called upon to grant wishes. The Giants have always been there for us and for our mission, and we are honored to call them our friends. Our wish families were thrilled to be part of today’s festivities, and to welcome Big Blue back to the castle.”

Saquon is a star.

Who cares who the Giants drafted this year, they definitely made the right call with Barkley.
