Do you have a date coming up this summer and don’t know what to wear or what to do? We have some fun tips lined up for you. Sweaty hands, racing pulse and shortness of breath are paired with  physical effects of lust according to the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology study. Of course you don’t want to organise a date where sweat is dripping down every inch of your body. That’s why we have come up with 3 sporty dates for this summer that are of low impact. In addition to those tips, you also get a what to wear guide when it comes to sporty dates.

What to wear?

It’s easy, wear something comfortable. On sporty dates, being comfortable is way more important than being fashionable. As a man, it’s most easy to bring out some black shorts and a matching t-shirt. Avoid wearing grey, because you can easily see sweat stains. And depending on the weather, you can always throw on sweatpants for men (Dutch: sweatpants heren) over your shorts. So when it gets hot, you can take it off. But what if you have plans after your sporty date? We suggest you dress up casual but basic. As long as your outfit radiates quality, you’ll look the part. Wearing merino woollen clothes (Dutch: merinowol kleding) is a great option post the date because it looks and feels amazing.

Sporty date tip 1:  Hiking

Going for a stroll or walk might sound really cliché, but what’s not to like? You can easily talk while walking next to one another and you don’t have to look each other in the eye the whole time. Perfect if you’re not into the romantic ‘glazing into each other’s eyes’ dates. But to make it sporty, change it into a hike. Because a hiking date is a very exciting experience, nevertheless memorable. Think about the beautiful romantic backdrops and landscapes. Do you want to go the extra mile? bring a picnic basket. We’re sure your date will love it.

Sporty date tip 2: Golfing

Golfing is something people rarely do on their first dates. But it’s such a fun experience when the weather is great. Maybe you or your date already have some experience golfing. In this case, one of you could step in as the teacher. Drive around in the golf cart and soak up the sun. We’re sure your date will never forget golfing as a first date.

Sporty date tip 3: Bowling

Bowling, a great activity for when it’s pouring down with rain. Even though bowling doesn’t really fall under the category of ‘sporty’. It will still get your competitive juices flowing in a fun environment. It’s also interesting to see if your date is really competitive or if your date laughs at you if you miss.

Have fun dating this summer! Follow these steps and you might even find your perfect match.
