Much of the attention surrounding the Hall of Fame game was the predictably bad football that was on display. It’s the first pre-season game of the season and almost none of the starters played in the game.
Another topic of discussion was the fact that there was no “Collinsworth Slide.” On Friday, Cris Collinsworth’s partner in the booth, Al Michaels, explained why there was no slide in.
Michaels said there was simply not enough room in the booth in Canton. But have no worries the “Collinsworth Slide” will return. He joked that they might have Collinsworth come up from the floor or drop down from the ceiling.
