Alex Cora and the Boston Red Sox have agreed to mutually part ways.  This is a result of the sign stealing scandal that the MLB is still investigating.

The former Houston Astros bench coach was named as a central figure in the sign stealing scheme that the team used during the 2017 season.

Cora is also being investigated for using similar tactics with Boston during the 2018 season as well and is facing a suspension of more than a year.

That would be a lengthier suspension than the ones handed down to former Astros GM Jeff Luhnow and manager A.J. Hinch.
