Saints running back Alvin Kamara was seen using smelling salts after taking a huge helmet-to-helmet hit by Cowboys linebacker Jaylon Smith.  He was left wobbly by the illegal hit, but managed to pass the concussion protocol.

The fact that a penalty flag didn’t come out on the illegal hit on Kamara isn’t sitting well with Saints fans and players.  But they acknowledge there’s nothing they can do about it now.

Via Pro Football Talk:

“Did one come out?” Kamara answered rhetorically when asked if he was expecting a flag.

“It is what it is,” he added. “It don’t matter what I was expecting.”

The hit came on third-and-17 at midfield. Kamara picked up 8 yards. A penalty would have given the Saints a first down at the Dallas 27. They never got any closer to tying the game or taking the lead.

“What do you think?” Saints quarterback Drew Brees said when asked his thoughts about the hit. “Let the league deal with that.”

We can only assume from the non-call that the entire game was just a setup by the NFL to make sure the Cowboys won the game.  They want America’s team back in the mix, what better way than to take out the best team in the league.
