Kansas State announced receiver Hunter Rison has been suspended indefinitely following his arrest Friday afternoon on a domestic battery charge.

The son of former NFL receiver Andre Rison was charged with one count of domestic battery/knowing or reckless bodily to family/person in dating relationship.

Kansas State head coach Chris Klieman announced the suspension Saturday morning, via The Mercury:

Klieman didn’t mention the arrest, instead citing the suspension as a “violation of team and departmental policy.”

“Our program will be one that is built on hard work and integrity and doing things the right way,” Klieman said in a release. “We have extremely high expectations for our players on and off the field.”

K-State said Klieman “will have no further comment on the matter at this time.”

The Michigan State transfer was expected to compete for a starting job this season.  That now appears to be in jeopardy.
