Former Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton had multiple options after being released by Cincinnati. He ultimately decided to join the Cowboys to backup Dak Prescott.
Dalton made the decision to sign with Dallas not only because he makes his offseason home there, but so he could work with head coach Mike McCarthy.
The plan is to use next season with the Cowboys to catapult himself into a starting job in 2021.
