Umpire Angel Hernandez was back to doing Angel Hernandez things on Tuesday night in Toronto, you know calling strikes balls then looking for a confrontation.  Everything you want from a “professional” umpire.

During the Yankees and Blue Jays game he missed several pitches, including a Masahiro Tanaka fastball right down the middle.

After catcher Gary Sanchez and Tanaka did the double take on the call, Hernandez put his arms out as if to challenge the Yankees pitcher to continue to question the call.  As you would expect one of the worst umpires in the history of the sport to do.  It’s really time for Major League Baseball to start weeding these guys out.

Call the game and stop trying to be the center of attention.
