The NFL completed a lengthy interview Monday with Britney Taylor, a former trainer of receiver Antonio Brown who filed a civil lawsuit in Florida last week alleging that he sexually assaulted her on three occasions between 2017 and 2018.

A league source said the interview was the first step of what will be a long investigation into the sexual assault allegations against the new Patriots wide receiver.

Brown has denied the allegations made in the lawsuit.

Darren Heitner, a lawyer representing Brown, said his client plans to countersue.

Brown has yet to address reporters and was not made available following the Patriots’ win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
