Auburn’s Bryce Brown was very vocal about the controversial ending to their loss to Virginia.  He repeatedly said, “NCAA needs to get some new refs” as he made his way to the locker room.

He isn’t wrong.  The referees did blow a call at the end of the game that would have secured the Auburn victory, but it didn’t come on the final shot.

There was a double dribble that took place on the play prior to the controversial foul call that put Virginia’s Kyle Guy on the free throw line.  The double dribble went that uncalled and would have given Auburn the ball back with the lead and probably the win.

That call was as clear as it gets and was a huge mistake by the referees.
