On Monday’s big Red Table Talk return, Curry joined Jada Pinkett Smith and company at the table for a discussion, including building her own empire as a cook to be more than than just a basketball wife and dealing with Steph’s groupies.

When the discussion turned to coping with anxiety, Curry revealed that she has it too, and takes medicine for it.

She recalled an incident, during which her husband’s fan invaded her space, which was triggering.

Curry told the story of a shopping trip with the Golden State Warriors player when their now 6-year-old daughter Riley was an infant. She was breastfeeding the baby in the backseat of the car when Steph, who was outside of the vehicle, was approached by overzealous fans.

“This group of people come over and they’re trying to ask Stephen for pictures and autographs,” she recalled. “The woman opens the car door, sticks her body in the car and is like, ‘Oh, let me see…’” the baby.

While she replied, “‘No, get out of the car,’” the woman was shameless about it, replying, “‘Oh, honey, you know what you signed up for.’”

Curry said that incident “stuck with me for a long time. Because, no, I didn’t, and I do think I deserve some type of personal space.”

The NBA wife said that’s where anxiety “stems from for me.

Part of being the wife of a celebrity. 

That being said, she’s also in her own right a celebrity, and chose that for herself. 

She could have easily sat back and been a completely anonymous basketball wife.
