Baker Mayfield is entering his second season as the Cleveland Browns quarterback, but that doesn’t mean he’s above a little Red River Rivalry talk.
Mayfield joined a Sooners radio show when the topic of whether or not Texas was back came up and he had some thoughts to share. Texas quarterback Sam Ehlinger was the latest to declare that Texas was back. He did so after they won the Sugar Bowl.
Mayfield isn’t buying it. He discounted the latest declaration that Texas was back, mainly because he doesn’t like Ehlinger, “he doesn’t like me and I hope he knows I don’t like him either.”
.@bakermayfield made it clear that Texas is NOT back. And, he had some thoughts on the Longhorns' starting QB, Sam Ehlinger, with @TedLehman11 and @Tyler_McComas. #Sooners pic.twitter.com/7BZ9wS5Vjw

It’s good to see that becoming a professional quarterback hasn’t changed Mayfield much. Who doesn’t love a good old fashioned rivalry?
