The absence of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady from Phase 3 of the offseason program has prompted two very different reactions. Some think it’s nothing to worry about, while others think this just magnifies the rift between Brady and Belichick.
The Patiorts head coach was asked what he thought about Tom Brady, to which Belichick replied in typical Belichick fashion.
“I’m not going to talk about the people that aren’t here,” Belichick told reporters when asked if he’s spoken to Brady. “The guys who are here are improving, they’re working hard. Those are the guys we’re going to focus on.”

You can also read this answer in two very different ways. You can chalk it up to Belichick being Belichick, or he’s sending a message to Tom by not answering a question about the superstar Quarterback. At any rate, twitter had fun with it.
