Patriots coach Bill Belichick was asked about Gordon’s history of substance abuse issues. Of course Belichick declined to comment on them in any way whatsoever.

Belichick did say that Gordon has done well picking up the offense in his few days in New England, complimenting the receiver for his ability to work at learning the offense.

Belichick in not an over sharer, so this is right in line with his personality. That being said, I’m sure they weighed the pros and cons of Josh Gordon. Clearly worth the risk for the Patriots.
