Reds centerfielder Billy Hamilton put his speed on full display on Sunday afternoon in Pittsburgh. He used it to deny Pirates catcher Francisco Cervelli of an extra base hit.
The catch was made in the right centerfield gap, on the warning track, and required Hamilton to fully extend to make the play. The play was such a good one Cervelli applauded it.
You can’t teach speed. This is for sure a catch of the year nominee.
