Braves left-handed starter Sean Newcomb left his start early on Saturday night after taking a line drive off of the back of the head.  Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto crushed a 94 mph fastball right back up the middle with an exit velocity of 102 mph.

Newcomb stayed down on a knee until the Braves training staff made it out to the mound and was able to walk off the mound under his own power.

It’s safe to say Newcomb will have a headache and a pretty good sized knot following that missile to the skull.
