It’s never a good idea to attempt to fix your uniform and/or equipment in the middle of a play. Brewers first baseman Jesus Aguilar found that out on Wednesday.
While holding a runner on Aguilar looks down at his broken belt and came a good throw away from taking a baseball to the side of the head. Luckily for Aguilar, Freddy Peralta’s pickoff attempt sailed over his head.
Also lucky was the bounce back on the field to the second baseman preventing the runner from advancing.
It might be time to cut out the pregame meals, or in between inning snacks or something. It’s never a good sign when your belts are breaking while you’re just standing there.
