Red Sox utility player Brock Holt hit the 10-day injured list on Saturday with a scratched cornea.  He has been playing with the injury all season after his two-year-old poked him in the eye on Opening Day.

That’s right, Holt’s son poked him in the eye and put him in the injured list.  Another bizarre injury that seems to only happen to baseball players.

Holt talked about the and why he needed to take the time on the injured list to recover.

Holt seems to have a solid excuse for any of his own struggles this season.  What is the rest of the team’s excuse?
