Ian Rapoport is reporting that Broncos backup quarterback Chad Kelly was arrested at 1:17 am in Englewood, Colorado.  He was charged with first-degree criminal trespassing.

The Broncos are aware of the incident and haven’t released a statement on the arrest yet.  Kelly, who is the nephew of former Bills QB Jim Kelly, is in his second season with the Broncos after being drafted with the final pick of the 2017 draft.

“Mr. Irrelevant” no more.

The Englewood police released some information about the arrest, via 9 News:

In a news release, Englewood police said Kelly illegally entered a home and was chased out by a resident.

Just after 1 a.m., officers responded to an address in the 3200 block of South Lincoln Street about a man standing outside a residence. While officers were responding, they received information that the man had entered the residence.

The man had been chased out of the residence by an occupant and a short time later officers located a man matching his description nearby inside a black SUV near the Gothic Theatre.

Not good at all.  It’s another strike against a guy with an already trouble filled past.  This strike might be the one that causes the 24-year-old to lose his job.
