Bruins captain Zdeno Chara made sure to add insult to injury during Boston’s Game 7 win over the Maple Leafs. At the end of the second period during a scuffle that broke out, Chara sucker punched Toronto star John Tavares.
The punch was solid enough to drop Tavares. He stayed down on the ice for a few moments as he tried to regain full consciousness.

Tavares did return to action, but it didn’t matter and Boston sent Toronto packing with a convincing win.
Islanders fans are probably the happiest people on the planet right now. Their team swept the Penguins and the hated John Tavares was knocked out of the playoffs.
A little cherry in top for Islanders fans was Tavares being dropped by a huge sucker punch. Playoff hockey is the best.
