Bryce Harper spoke with the media on Wednesday, a day after he officially tampered with Mike Trout by saying he would he would give the Angels center fielder a call in 2020, when Trout becomes a free agent. He was asked about the comments and whether or not he meant it.
Without no fear of retribution from the MLB, Harper responded:

Of course, he meant it and he isn’t at all afraid of Major League Baseball slapping him on the wrist. It’s well worth the risk of being fined. He made it clear to Mike Trout that he wants him to join him in Philly.
The quicker Harper can get that information out after signing his contract the better. He doesn’t want Trout to sign an extension with the Angels anytime soon.
