Cam Newton has reportedly changed his tune a little bit when it comes to taking a backup quarterback job, this according to Ian Rapoport.
The former Panthers quarterback and NFL MVP, who initially said he only wanted a starting job and would wait until one opened up, is now open to a backup job “in the right situation.”
It remains to be seen what the right situation looks like, but the lack of starting jobs at the moment have really limited his options. He can wait until a starter goes down or take a backup role with a team like the Jaguars maybe?
