According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, Arizona Cardinals Pro Bowl cornerback Patrick Peterson has been suspended six game by the NFL.

The suspension is for violating the league’s performance enhancing drug policy.  Peterson initially appealed the suspension, but has decided to drop the appeal.

This is the kind of thing that happens to a cornerback who is creeping towards the age of 30.  You start hearing those whispers that you’re losing a step and then get popped for PEDs in the off-season.

Unfortunately for Peterson, the suspension now means another guy will get those reps for the first six games.  He might have just helped the Cardinals find his replacement.
