Free agent Carmelo Anthony is still looking for a new team after being released by the Rockets earlier this year. Rumors and speculation have been that he would eventually end up in Los Angeles with LeBron James.
Those rumors have recently heated up and appear now to be a little more than rumor. According to Sam Amick of The Athletic, LeBron James has said privately that the Lakers would find a spot for him on the roster depending on his “conditioning and the overall state of his game.”
In an Instagram post on Friday, Melo seemed to hint that he had something in the works.
There’s no guarantee that Melo will end up in Los Angeles. His conditioning has been an issue in the past.
If only a hoodie tied tight was equal to good conditioning.
