Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz isn’t practicing Wednesday due to back soreness and isn’t expected to play against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Eagles Coach Doug Pederson was asked Wednesday if Wentz would play and told reporters they’re focusing on today and getting him better, according to Jeff McLane of Philly.com.

Wentz has completed 69.6 percent of his passing attempts for 3,074 yards and 21 touchdowns with seven interceptions through 11 games this season.

He missed the first two games of the season while recovering from the knee injury that prematurely ended his MVP-caliber 2017 campaign.

His final game was against the Rams in L.A in Week 13.

Luckily the Eagles can win with their backup.

He proved that in last year’s Superbowl.
