Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum was named All-Star Game MVP after breaking the event’s scoring record with 55 points in a winning cause for Team Giannis.

Tatum scored 27 points in the third quarter, also establishing an All-Star Game record, according to Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press.

The previous title belonged to Anthony Davis after he scored 52 points in 2017.

Tatum is the first player in league history to have a 50-point game in the regular season, playoffs, and All-Star Game, according to ESPN’s Matt Williams.

The 24-year-old joins Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry as the only players to make more than 10 three-pointers in a game, according to StatMuse.

Team Giannis had numerous standout performances, including Donovan Mitchell’s 40 points and 10 assists, and Damian Lillard’s 26-point performance.
