Chargers general manager Tom Telesco confirmed on “The Pat McAfee Show” that Los Angeles was prepared to take quarterback Tua Tagovailoa had the Dolphins decided to draft Justin Herbert.

All of the talk about Tua falling out of the Top 15 ended up being just that, talk.  He went to Miami with the No. 5 pick and would have gone to Los Angeles with the No. 6 pick.

As it is, the Dolphins took Tagovailoa and the Chargers ended up with Herbert and that’s just fine with them.
