Chargers running back Melvin Gordon isn’t happy with his current contract and will not report to training camp.  According to his agent, Fletcher Smith, Gordon will request a trade if he doesn’t get a new contract.

Smith later revealed during an interview on SiriusXM NFL Radio, that Gordon is willing to sit out, “as long as he has to.”  Buckle up Chargers fans, it sounds like you have a Le’Veon Bell situation on your hands.

“He’s prepared to sit, and we’ll take it day by day, week by week and see how things go.  But at this time, if he can’t anything done, he certainly won’t be at training camp, and he’s prepared to sit as long as he has to.”

The Chargers better pay the man if they want to keep him in Los Angeles.  Gordon might just end up forcing a trade to the Jets.
