A brewery in Chicago, the Goose Island Beer Co., is giving away beer for a year if you can make a 43-yard field goal.  This weekend they plan to erect a field goal post on the street outside of the brewery and have folks try to win a year’s time beer if they happen to make it.

In the series of tweets the brewery seems to indicate that making a 43-yard field goal is a little harder than many people think.

“This weekend during normal taproom hours we’ll have a chance for you to show off your kicking skills. Hit the 43 yard field goal and you’ll win beer for a year and eternal glory. More info coming soon.”

Sure it’s hard for the average fan to kick a field goal of that distance, but not impossible.  Not to mention the fact that the average fan isn’t taking home Cody Parkey’s salary to do so.
