Orioles first baseman Chris Davis went 0-for-3 during another loss on Thursday.  The hitless game extended Davis’ consecutive streak without a hit to 53 at-bats.

Despite extending the hitless streak, Davis says he’s seeing the ball better and will continue to work without worrying about the result.

Via ESPN:

“I feel like I’m seeing the ball a lot better,” Davis said after the game. “I mean, I lined out again and drew a walk a little bit later. Just continue to work.

“For me I can’t focus on the result as much as I want to. As much as I want to see some type of return for all the work I’m putting in. I gotta stay focused on the process.”

Also if you stay focused on the process you don’t notice the actual number of at-bats without a hit you’re currently at.  Davis may never have another hit again and even if he does, he’ll still be one of the most ridiculously overpaid players in the history of the game.
