Cleveland Browns GM John Dorsey and head coach Freddie Kitchens surprised their new running back by attending his baptism over the weekend in Cleveland.

“I’m looking forward so I can feel reborn,’’ he said on Wednesday.

Hunt was cut by the Chiefs last November after video surfaced of him shoving and kicking a woman in a hotel hallway at a downtown Cleveland hotel. Dorsey, who drafted Hunt, signed him in February. The league suspended him eight games.

Since joining the Browns, Hunt has been active talking to school groups about not repeating his mistakes, and turning to religion is part of his effort to reclaim himself, and not just his image.

But he knows his words won’t matter, and his actions will dictate whether he earns the forgiveness of the world.
