Dodgers first baseman Cody Bellinger ended up in Dave Roberts doghouse after not hustling on a ball hit to right center in San Francisco.

It took place in the 5th inning on a ball Bellinger hit and thought was a homerun.  It hit the wall and he ended up on second base, instead of third.  He was removed from the game shortly afterward.

Roberts acknowledged the benching after the game.

“There’s certain expectations about the way we play the game.  When you don’t abide by that, we’ll get somebody in there who will.”

This is why you hustle out of the box kids.  You never know when you crush a ball and it refuses to go over the fence.
